The Horace City staff want your feedback for important decisions that must be made. Check back often as new surveys will be published. The current survey is for residents north of 76th Ave to provide feedback if they would be interested in connecting to the City Sanitary sewer system. This would allow home owners to decommission the current septic systems. The North Dakota Health Department has published new rules that apply to installation or replacement of septic systems in North Dakota. If a current septic system fails, the replacement system must meet current regulations which may include upgrading the a more expensive system.
The Public Information meeting held in June 2017 provided feedback to Horace staff that demand exists from residents to connect to the new Sanitary Sewer forced main being installed along County Road 17. If your development has a representative that can file a petition with the city representing a majority of residents, the design and project estimation process can begin.
