Stroke Recognition and Prevention Event

Do you know your numbers? 

High blood pressure and other factors play a role in whether you’re at higher risk for stroke. People may have high blood pressure and not know it.

Learn your numbers and see how you can lessen your risk for stroke and other health issues at this free event.

Stroke Screening & Awareness Event provided by Dr. Marketa Marvanova & Pharmacy Students from North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy

Sunday June 24, 2018 

9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Horace Lutheran Church 

Walk-Ins welcome 

This program is offered by North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy and is funded by the Dakota Medical Foundation grant.

This free-of charge program consists of individualized stroke risk assessments and educational on stroke risk. You will also receive blood pressure, heart rate and peripheral blood oxygenation assessment. Individualized screening and education takes about 10-15 minutes.

What to expect:

Blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygenation screening

Personalized recommendations to reduce your stroke risk

Improve knowledge about stroke prevention

Improve knowledge on acute stroke identification

Please bring a list of your current medications as part of personalized risk assessment as well as wear short sleeves in order to take your blood pressure
